Clinton McAlister – Director Service and Project Delivery  

Clinton McAlister brings over 15 years of diverse experience to his role as Director of Service and Project Delivery at Wingecarribee Shire Council. With a strong background in Electrical Networks, Emergency Management, and Local Government, Clinton is well-equipped to oversee the Council’s extensive portfolio, including asset management, shire presentation, roads, infrastructure, building and open spaces maintenance, project delivery, and water services.  

 A passionate advocate for the Southern Highlands, Clinton relocated his family to the region in late 2021. His commitment to the community is evident in his previous roles, where he successfully led strategic waste planning initiatives and played a pivotal role in emergency management during the 2019/20 bushfires and COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, Clinton spearheaded the development of the sustainability plan for the ACT Government Emergency Services Agency, resulting in the design and procurement of Australia’s first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Frontline fire pumper.  

Clinton holds a Master of Business Administration and degrees in Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Management Communication, and Public Sector Management. His expertise in compliance, regulatory frameworks, sustainability, and service delivery will be instrumental in advancing the division’s goals and enhancing the community’s quality of life.
