Council operates a water supply system with over 17,000 customer connections and an estimated serviced population of 40,000. An efficient and effective system that meets the needs of a growing population is crucial to Council’s operations. Council is addressing deficiencies in the supply system which were identified in the System Master Planning Review (Focused Asset Services, March 2015).
A number of upgrades were recommended as part of this report, including the construction of a new duplicate water main to supply treated water to the Hill Road Reservoir in Moss Vale.
The site investigations will progress alongside property negotiations with affected landowners to allow the design to be developed considering both these factors. The design will be developed and documented to support the construction and commissioning of the new water supply pipeline.
