Council has engaged a contractor to construct the new Wingecarribee Animal Shelter and State Emergency Services (SES) building in Moss Vale.
Council previously acquired land for the construction of the new building to replace the current animal shelter at the Resource Recovery Centre and the current SES building at the Council depot. The completed project will provide new fit-for-purpose buildings to assist these important community services.
An estimated completion date of November 2024 has been set, however this date will be revised as the project progresses.
March 2024:
The builder is continuing structural works in preparation for the SES and Animal Shelter ground slab pours. This milestone will then allow the commencement of structural steel walling and roofing.
August 2024:
The framing and roofing works continue to both buildings. Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing Services are being roughed in. Plasterboard installation is to commence soon to the SES building. The first carpark slab has been poured.
