Australia Day in Berrima Returns: Apply to Be Part of the Parade and Markets

Berrima is set to come alive with Australia Day celebrations on Sunday, 26 January 2025 and Wingecarribee Shire Council invite local creatives, entertainers, vendors, and community groups to join in the festivities! Applications are now open to participate in the annual Grand Parade and to become a market stall holder.  

Participate in the Grand Parade  

The Grand Parade aims to showcase the talent, creativity and diversity across the Shire. From sporting teams, marching bands, dance troupes, and car clubs, to horse brigades and cultural groups, everyone is invited to join the celebration. The parade commences at 12pm from Oxley Street and travels south down the Old Hume Highway through Berrima, finishing at Market Park by 12.45pm.

Apply to become a market stall holder 

Markets will be held at Market Place Public Reserve and Berrima town centre from 9am to 2pm. Stallholders, artisans, and food vendors are invited to apply for a spot and showcase their offerings to the community. Applications close on Friday, 15 December 2024. Register: 

Attendees can also show their support at the Citizenship Ceremony and Citizen of the Year Awards, as well as enjoy a variety of family-friendly entertainment and live music.
