Motorists are advised that due to ongoing roadworks in the Berrima area, the route of the Bowral Classic cycling event will be re-routed on Sunday morning, 20 October 2024 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The affected roads include Berrima Road, Taylor Avenue, and the Old Hume Highway between Moss Vale and Berrima.

Cyclists will be traveling south on the Old Hume Highway, passing the Oxleys Hill Road turnoff, through Berrima, and then turning left onto Taylor Avenue. From there, they will continue south on Taylor Avenue through New Berrima, connecting onto Berrima Road towards Moss Vale.

Please note that Oxleys Hill Road will be closed to general traffic during the event, from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

Motorists using Berrima Road between Moss Vale and Berrima should expect significant delays during this period, as traffic will be reduced to a single lane with controlled vehicle movements. Traffic control will be in place at the intersection of Taylor Avenue and Berrima Road to ensure the safety of both cyclists and drivers.

Normal traffic conditions will resume after 11:00 AM on Sunday, 20 October.
