Wingecarribee Shire Council is undertaking crucial restoration works along Mittagong  Creek to mitigate the impacts of flooding and erosion due to previous large scale flooding events. Effective from next Monday, 21 October, 2024, Mansfield Reserve will be temporarily closed for approximately two weeks, weather permitting, to facilitate these improvements.

Soil Conservation Service has been engaged to undertake these works, which involve measures to control erosion and reduce sediment levels in the creek. This will allow for a more natural flow of the waterway, reducing localised flooding within the reserve.

During the closure, temporary signage will be posted at the reserve's entrances. For more information or enquiries, please contact Patrick Tegart at 02 4868 0888 or refer to our webpage for updates https://www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/Places/Facilities/Parks/mansfieldreserve
