Public Inquiry Hearing date announced

Public hearings of the Wingecarribee Shire Council Public Inquiry will commence from Monday 28 March 2022.

The NSW Government has announced that the public hearings will continue until Thursday 14 April 2022.

Hearings will take place within Council’s chambers located on Elizabeth Street in Moss Vale.

Usual sitting hours of the Inquiry will be between 10am and 1pm weekdays followed by an afternoon session from 2pm to 4pm. Sitting times are subject to change at the discretion of the Commissioner.

COVID restrictions will apply and physical numbers will be limited within the hearing room. Persons who do attend must comply with current Public Health Orders.

Only persons directly involved with the Public Inquiry including the Commissioner and assistants, witnesses giving evidence, suspended councillors, current and former staff of Council, the General Manager and Interim Administrator and persons sufficiently affected by the Terms of Reference will be permitted to attend the hearings.

Any persons wishing to attend the public hearings in person will be required to register with the Officer Assisting the Inquiry.

The Public Hearings will be live-streamed with details to be finalised closer to the commencement of proceedings.

Daily transcripts of the public hearings will also be made available on the Inquiry’s website.

Commissioner Ross Glover will undertake proceedings.
