Road improvements in Wingello

Motorists travelling along Kareela Road in Wingello can look forward to significantly improved travel as Council’s Shire Presentation team prepare to undertake road, drainage and safety improvements from Monday 15 May 2023.

Works will be carried out on a section of road between Jeffery Lane and the private property located at 610 Kareela Road.

Council’s Manager Shire Presentation, Mr Greg Bray explained the works that will be undertaken.

“We’ll be widening and lifting the road level to better match its surrounds and improving drainage infrastructure to minimise future damage,” he said.

Construction works will require the road to be closed to traffic between Jeffery Lane and the private property located at 610 Kareela Road. Traffic controllers will provide access to property owners during work site hours. Motorists should detour via Penrose Road.

Weather permitting and all things going well we expect to have you back on the road by mid-June.
