Weather permitting the tree removal is expected to be complete by Friday 28 October 2022.
Entrance to the car park and shared pathway access located off Moss Vale Road will be temporarily closed during the tree removal works.
Alternative access to the shared pathway will be available from:
- Suttor Road, Moss Vale;
- Phillip Street, Burradoo;
- Hurlingham Avenue, Burradoo; and
- Railway Road, Burradoo.
Access to the Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve will be provided adjacent to the work site.
The tree removals and plantings are being undertaken as part of Stage 1a of the Bong Bong Common Masterplan improvement works.
Additional Stage 1a future improvement works will include the construction of an asphalt carpark accommodating 20 cars plus two disabled parking spaces, relocation of the historic obelisk and installation of interpretive and wayfinding signage and maps.
