Be Part of Emergency Management and Resilience Meetings in Our Northern and Southern Villages
Community members are invited to take part in Emergency Management and Resilience meetings for our Northern and Southern Villages, facilitated by Council.
These sessions will help you understand how the Wingecarribee Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) is working together with the State Emergency Service (SES), NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS), Local Land Services, and Council, to plan for our Shire’s disaster preparedness and emergency management.
Hear from representatives from each of these agencies and take the opportunity to ask any questions you have. The RFS and SES, who are the lead agencies in any emergency response, will share information about what you can do to prepare your property.
Team members from Wingecarribee Shire Council will offer an update on progress with recommendations of the 2021 Bushfire Response and Recovery Review, the ‘Resilience Connect’ Blueprint project on behalf of the Canberra Region Joint Organisation and the actions of the NSW Reconstruction Authority in any recovery phase
