The gates to the Bowral Swimming Centre will open to the public next week as Council prepares to welcome the outdoor summer swim season.

The Bowral Swimming Centre season will open from Monday 10 October and run through until Sunday 26 March 2023.

Council’s Supervisor Pools and Facilities James Borbone said the pool was the perfect place to enjoy the warmer months.

“We have two outdoor swimming pools, a covered toddler and wading pool, a fully equipped kiosk and shaded grassy areas that are perfect for picnics,” he said.

Operating hours will be:

  • 6am to 6pm weekdays
  • 8.30am to 6pm on Saturdays
  • 9.30am to 6pm on Sundays

Council reminds swimmers that should patronage fall below 10 people and the weather is not conducive to swimming, Pool Supervisors may close the pool an hour early.

Bundanoon Swimming Centre will open on Saturday 12 November 2022.

Both outdoor Swimming Centres are heated to 24 degrees Celsius.

New for the 2022/23 swim season is an unlimited Adult Season pass. This new unlimited entry pass supersedes the previous 50-visit pass and can be used at both outdoor Swimming Centres. A 20 multi-visit season pass is also available.

Bowral Swimming Centre is located at the corner of Mittagong Road and Oxley Drive in Bowral.

The Mittagong Swimming Centre remains closed as a result of multiple flooding events.
