Exciting news for Hill Top and surrounding villages! A brand new playspace is coming to Community Park, West Parade. Residents are invited to participate in finalising the design of this accessible park, conveniently located near local facilities, shops, and parking.
Thanks to the Hill Top Community Association (HTCA) securing funding through the Federal Government's Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant (BSBR), a brand new playspace is coming to Hill Top. This investment will promote health and well-being, enhance neighbourhood aesthetics, and foster a stronger community by becoming a local hub for families in the Northern villages.
The HTCA has already secured play equipment, including a train, car, and swing set, which will be integrated into the playspace design.
Sue Lazenby, HTCA BSBR Project Coordinator, highlighted the collaborative efforts: “Since early 2021, ongoing consultation and collaboration between NSW Heritage Rail, HTCA, and Wingecarribee Shire Council (WSC) have led to WSC taking the lead in installing both the fitness centres and playground equipment – key components of the BSBR grant submission.”
"The WSC has been very supportive, ensuring the Hill Top community will have access to a quality playspace by not only installing the HTCA BSBR-financed playground but also incorporating additional features,” added Sue.

We're inviting the community to get involved and help us choose the final design for the new playspace! While some equipment has already been secured by the HTCA, your input will shape the overall layout and features of the park.
Choose from two concept plans that complement the existing equipment and will occupy the designated blue soft fall area in both options.
The survey is open until Sunday 30 June 2024. Share your input and help shape the future of Hill Top's new play space by completing the online survey at: https://participatewingecarribee.wsc.nsw.gov.au/hilltop-playspace
