Everyone is encouraged to come together to reflect, respect and celebrate at Berrima Australia Day from 9am to 2pm on Sunday 26 January.
Historic Berrima offers a charming backdrop for the community to enjoy a day of family friendly fun. With amusement rides, activities, live entertainment, and plenty of local specialities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
From 9am to 11am, welcome our new Australian citizens at the Citizenship Ceremony and then celebrate our extraordinary members of the community with the Citizen of the Year award presentation.
The iconic Grand Parade starts at 12pm on Oxley Street and travels down the Old Hume Highway, finishing at Market Park. The parade will feature local community groups, the light horse brigade, historic cars and loads of community spirit.
Discover unique treasures and delicious treats at the markets located near the Berrima Courthouse and Market Place Park. And don’t forget to browse the delightful shops and cafes of Berrima for a true taste of the unique local experience.
Wingecarribee Shire Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick said that Australia Day in Berrima was a highlight in the annual event calendar.
"We're excited to invite everyone to come together, enjoy a fantastic family day out, and celebrate the spirit of Australia with our community,” he said.
