Kindness Connects Launches in Wingecarribee Shire

Wingecarribee Shire Council sparked a wave of kindness yesterday with the successful launch of its Kindness Connects initiative, inspiring attendees with insights on the transformative power of kindness.

The launch, held at The Theatrette in Moss Vale Civic Centre, featured internationally renowned keynote speaker Kath Koschel, founder of The Kindness Factory. Attendees were captivated by her inspiring message and left equipped with practical tools to spread kindness in their communities.

“The positive energy and excitement from attendees showed the community's desire to welcome kindness and create a society filled with more positivity and compassion," said Kathryn Baget-Juleff, Manager of Community Life and Libraries.

“We are excited to continue building on this momentum and spreading kindness throughout our Shire.”

A portion of the ticket price has been donated to local charity, Pop In, supporting women navigating domestic violence and abuse.

Kindness Connects aims to foster a culture of kindness and positivity within the Wingecarribee Shire community by encouraging residents to embrace kindness, build stronger connections, and contribute to a more compassionate and supportive environment.

The initiative includes various activities and events, with the goal of completing 1000 acts of kindness as a community by World Kindness Day on November 13th.
