Wingecarribee Shire Council Administrator, Mr. Viv May, will be visiting villages and towns across our Shire starting 29 July 2024. These visits provide residents with the opportunity to directly engage with the Administrator on topics of interest and concern and will be an opportunity for the Administrator to present the End of Term Report. This report details Council’s achievements since the Administrator’s appointment in March 2021. Mr May said it was also “important that residents be reminded of the dysfunction and chaos of the Council prior to March 2021”.

The Administrator will be attending Community Association Meetings and will also be available one-on-one sessions with residents. "As with previous meetings I am looking forward to meeting with residents to hear their thoughts first-hand," said Mr May. "These one-on-one sessions are a valuable opportunity for open dialogue and direct feedback, which are essential for effective governance."

To schedule a 15-minute one-on-one session, please register online. This is a unique chance for community members to share their ideas and discuss local issues directly with the Council Administrator.

This initiative is particularly significant given the upcoming council elections in September. Engaging with the community now allows the council to understand and address current concerns, ensuring that the voices of residents are reflected in future governance decisions. These meetings underscore the council's commitment to transparency and community engagement, which are crucial for fostering trust and accountability ahead of the elections.
