Wingecarribee Shire Council Communications and Engagement Strategy

Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on residents to help shape its Communications and Engagement Strategy 2025-2029. This strategy will guide how Council shares information about services, events, and projects while ensuring the community has a meaningful voice in key decisions.

Wingecarribee Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick encouraged residents to get involved, emphasising the importance of local input.

“We’re working to build a more informed and connected Shire, and your feedback is essential. This is your opportunity to tell us how you prefer to receive updates, what topics matters most and how you want to be involved in decisions that affect your community.” he said.

The strategy will focus on two key areas:

  • Communications - how Council shares information to keep the community informed.
  • Community engagement - how Council listens to and gathers feedback from the community.

Residents can have their say through online and in-person engagement activities running until Monday, 7 April 2025. To learn more and participate, visit Participate Wingecarribee.

Following consultation, community feedback will be reviewed and used to develop the Draft Communications and Engagement Strategy 2025-2029. The draft will be presented at the Ordinary Council Meeting on Wednesday, 21 May 2025, before being placed on public exhibition for further input prior to adoption.
