Power Restored: Water and Sewage Treatment Plants Back Online in Wingecarribee Shire 

Power has been restored to water and sewage treatment plants in Wingecarribee Shire, previously impacted by severe wind gusts and the ongoing total fire ban. 

While residents will have not seen any disruptions to water supply, the power outages did affect water production and wastewater treatment at the Glenquarry water treatment plant and the Bowral and Bundanoon sewage treatment plants (STPs). Additionally, power outages impacted Sewer Pump Stations (SPSs) primarily in the Bowral, Bundanoon, Mittagong, and Hilltop areas. 

Council deployed four mobile generators to support critical infrastructure and worked closely with local utility providers to expedite the restoration process.
