Colo Vale Railway Park, located on Railway Avenue, Colo Vale, is set for an upgrade and Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on residents to help determine the park’s design.

Following community consultation held last year, Council has partnered with leading commercial outdoor playground equipment manufacturer/supplier Moduplay to prepare two modern, inclusive and accessible park design options, suitable for children and young people of all ages.

Wingecarribee Shire Council Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick encouraged residents to vote for their preferred option before 4.30pm, Sunday 8 December 2024.

“I'm looking forward to seeing this exciting new play space take shape as a place for the Colo Vale families to connect, play, and thrive” he said.

Community members can view the designs and vote for their preferred option in-person or through Council’s online community engagement platform, Participate Wingecarribee. Visit: https://participatewingecarribee.wsc.nsw.gov.au/colo-vale-railway-park

The final design will be informed by community preferences, as well as approval from the landowners, Transport Asset Holding Entity (TAHE).

In partnership with the Colo Vale Community Association, Council will be hosting two drop-in sessions on Tuesday 26 November for residents to vote for their preferred option in-person. The sessions will be held from 10am to 11am, and 2.30pm to 4.30pm, at Colo Vale Community and Memorial Hall, 28 Railway Ave, Colo Vale.  No booking required.

Alternatively, you can share feedback through:

Council is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of our community by delivering high-quality recreational facilities. Each play space design for Colo Vale Railway Park has been developed to benefit the local community for years to come.

The Option A play space features a designated swing space and skate ramp, and Option B integrates the swing space into an interactive larger play space that includes slides and a skate/ learn to bike ride track.
