Share Your Ideas on Council's Draft Community Engagement Strategy

Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking community feedback on the Draft Community Engagement Strategy 2024-2028.  

The draft strategy outlines how Council will work with residents and stakeholders over the next four years to deliver open and inclusive decision-making. It includes goals, processes, and a framework based on the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) engagement spectrum. 

Council endorsed the draft for public exhibition at its meeting on 30 October, 2024. 

Wingecarribee Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick said that the revised Community Engagement Strategy reflected Council’s dedication to rebuilding trust in our local democracy.  

“The strategy aims to help guide us in building stronger community relationships, improving communication, and empowering residents to participate in decision-making,” he said.  

“Council is committed to transparency, inclusivity, and respect. We want to hear your voice and ensure your needs and aspirations are reflected in our plans and projects across Council,” said Mayor Fitzpatrick.
