Thank you to everyone who joined us for our film screening on Wednesday 26 June! It was fantastic to see so many engaged community members watching Your Planet Short Docs and Glossies in the Mist.

Your Planet Short Docs provided a compelling insight into some of the environmental challenges we Australians face, both locally and nationally, along with some innovative solutions. One of the highlights for many was the segment on maggots—a sustainable protein source with minimal environmental impact, already used in some pet food, as a more sustainable protein source.

We ended the screening with the newly created short documentary, Glossies in the Mist, which focuses on the incredible work done by locals and the National Parks and Wildlife Service. This project, initiated by our wonderful local Pat Hall was featured in the doco and was with us in-person for the panel discussion.

These events can only improve with your feedback. If you attended this event or a previous Earth Flix event and wanted to provide feedback but didn't get around to it, you can here. Any feedback is welcome—the good, the bad, and the ugly. And please make sure you sign up for our next Earth Flix session, War on Waste with a focus on plastics and featuring a special guest and giveaways. Plastics might sound like old news, but its really important in todays context of not only recycling, but reducing our demand for plastics as a priority, book here.

For those who couldn't attend, you can watch the films online:

The panel discussion after the screening was wonderful, offering insight into the dedication and passion that our special guests, Pat Hall and Wombat Man John from Wombat Care Bundanoon and both well-known Bundanoon residents, have for our wildlife and community. Their commitment is truly inspiring.
