Road Ahead: Progress on Repairs and Projects

Throughout November, we continued to deliver improvement works across the road network. 

Pothole Repairs:  

  • 405 potholes were filled and repaired, with a focus on Moss Vale, Bundanoon, Exeter and Sutton Forest. 

  • During December, crews will continue to address potholes in Exeter and Sutton Forest before moving on to Colo Vale and Hill Top. 

Road Upgrades:  

  • 3 kilometers of unsealed roads on Greasons Road and Gullies Road, Bundanoon and Joadja Rd, Joadja have been upgraded. 

  • Over 400 tonne of road material was used to seal Gullies Road, Bundanoon. 

  • 450 meters of road on Middle Road and Old Hume Highway was prepared for sealing.  

  • 1300 meters of road on Quarry Road and Bulwar Road has been sealed .  

  • 1500 meters of asphalt renewal preparation works were completed on Loris Street, Robina Street, Wingecarribee Street, Old Hume Highway, Pioneer Street, Princes Street, Lackey Road and the IGA Carpark. 

  • 1600 meters of asphalt renewal works were completed on Bowral Street, Mona Street, Albion Street, Yarrawa Street, Farnborough Close, Hampton Court, James Street, Jensens Street and Bromhall Street.

 

Project Update: Hill Top Park 

Excitement is building in the Hill Top community for the opening of Hill Top Park on Saturday 14 December 2024 (details to come).   

The park is a spacious and centrally located outdoor hub for everyone to enjoy. Located on West Parade, near the shopping precinct, it offers:  

  • Improved visibility  

  • Convenient parking  

  • Ample space for outdoor activities and gatherings 

The park has been co funded by Council and the Hill Top Community Association (HTCA), which secured funding through the Federal Government's Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant.
