A group of enthusiastic students from Robertson Public School recently joined forces with Wingecarribee Shire Council and local environmental groups to revitalise the local rainforest.

A total of 251 trees were planted, as a collaborative effort between the Robertson Environment Protection Society (REPS) Young REPS Program, Council, and the Save Our Species Robertson Rainforest Project, led by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.

The Young REPS program, initiated by REPS with the support of Principal Parrish from Robertson Public School, aims to instill in students a deep appreciation for the Robertson rainforest and the importance of its preservation. By participating in hands-on activities like tree planting, these young environmentalists are gaining valuable experience and a firsthand understanding of environmental stewardship.

Their efforts will contribute to the ongoing restoration of the rainforest, supporting its health and biodiversity for generations to come.
