The 2024/25 Community Assistance Grants are now closed.

The Community Assistance Scheme aims to build capacity, encourage participation and support initiatives that promote partnerships and working together to maintain our community and its assets.

Council invested $105,000 in 2024 towards community development initiatives including arts and culture and sport and recreational projects. A further $10,000 from the Environment Levy has been invested towards future sustainability and natural environment projects.

There are three types of funding available under the Community Assistance Scheme. These are:

  • Donations of $600
  • Grants up to $7,000
  • Environment & Sustainability Grants up to $2,000

The Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme follows Council’s adoption of its Grants, Donations and Sponsorships Policy on 16 November 2022. This policy provides a framework on how Council proposes to manage future grants, donations and sponsorships for the benefit of communities across our Shire.
