OzHarvest Southern Highlands Chapter

OzHarvest Southern Highlands is a volunteer led and run service. We collect good food from local food businesses (supermarkets, etc), sort, weigh and then deliver to local charities. The charities are provided with bread, fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, eggs, pantry items to hand out to those in need. We currently serve over 15 charities in Wingecarribee and Wollondilly, and we collect and deliver 5 days a week. Volunteers usually collect between 8am and are finished by 10am, and are regularly needed. By saving food from going to landfill, where the food would release greenhouse gasses, we also help the environment.
