In January works will include
Transport for NSW will continue carrying out construction activities in and around the station and stabling yard, as well as on Argyle Street, Lackey Road and Dalys Way. Work will be scaled back over the Christmas period.
During this period we’ll be:
• starting work from the Argyle Street footpath to the footbridge, requiring minor road changes and an alternate marked walkway
• removing temporary amenities at the station forecourt. Work will restart in January in the male and female toilets
• making minor temporary adjustments to parking and space within the forecourt
• continuing work on the stabling yard
• installing the Lackey Road lift and platform lift from mid-January. There will be no additional impacts with all work contained to the existing work areas
What will this mean for the Community
- Revised location of Disability (DDA) parking in the commuter car park closest to the station.
- Reinstating some parking spaces.
- Relocation of the pedestrian access to Lackey Road side on Dalys Way, with a marked footpath and safety barriers.
- One-way vehicle access on Dalys Way with traffic control and boom gates/traffic lights.
- Access to waiting room via rear doors.
- Work commencing for female waiting room and male toilet in early January. Temporary facilities will be available.
When and what time will works take place?
Work will be carried out during standard construction hours, 7.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday and 8.00 am to 1.00 pm Saturdays.
All work is dependent on weather and site conditions and is subject to change.
