Community members are invited to take part in Emergency Management and Resilience meetings, facilitated by Council. The 2024 dates for these meetings are to be advised. The purpose of these sessions is to help our community members understand how the Wingecarribee Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) is working together with the State Emergency Service (SES), NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS), Local Land Services, and Council, to plan for our Shire’s disaster preparedness and emergency management. Representatives from each of these agencies will provide a specialised presentation, as well as the NSW Reconstruction Authority and Australian Red Cross. Proudly funded by the Australian Government in partnership with Wingecarribee Shire Council.
