Wingecarribee Shire Council hosts the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) annual Household Chemical CleanOut event, where you can drop off unwanted household chemicals free of charge including paint, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, motor oils, and smoke detectors.

Local businesses often hold collection events for unwanted objects. For example, Bunnings holds a regular Paintback collection day where you can recycle paint and paint tins.
