Where to dispose;
Unwanted electrical appliances, that are in good condition and are not damaged/dirty, can be donated to local charities and Op Shops for reuse.
Damaged/broken or end of life appliances that are made of steel e.g. toasters and kettles, can be brought to the Resource Recovery Centre to be recycled for scrap metal free of charge. All other appliances will be charged as inert waste. Please see our fees and charges for more information.
As a final option, end of life electrical appliances can also be disposed of through the Council provided general waste bin (red lid).
