Mobile Community Recycling Centre

The Mobile Community Recycling Centre (MCRC) is here to make recycling easy and accessible for Wingecarribee Shire residents. Our mobile service visit’s various locations within Wingecarribee Shire, so you can dispose of problem waste without the hassle. Not all waste belongs in your red bin, there are some problem waste items that never break down in landfills and can be recycled. What is the Mobile Community Recycling Centre?

The Mobile Community Recycling Centre brings waste disposal and recycling services directly to residents in Wingecarribee Shire, visiting selected locations across the area for convenient access.

 

What can I drop off at the Mobile Community Recycling Centre?

Problem waste can be dropped off for free, please note household waste items are limited to 20L or 20kg per customer per drop off:

  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Gas bottles (Propane) 
  • Aerosols
  • Car batteries
  • Household batteries
  • Water and Oil based paint 
  • Mobile Phones and Devices
  • Motor and other oils 
  • Fluorescent globes and tubes 
  • Smoke Detectors
  • Polystyrene
  • Cardboard 
  • Soft Plastics

How can I book the Mobile Community Recycling Centre?

At the moment, there is no booking system in place. However, we are actively exploring options to implement this feature for your convenience. In the meantime, our Mobile Community Recycling Centre visits selected locations across Wingecarribee Shire on specific dates.

What time will the Mobile Community Recycling Centre operate?

The Mobile Community Recycling Centre will be scheduled at the selected locations from 8:45am until 12:30pm.
