Beyond Creative – Showcasing Senior Artists in the Shire

Celebrating the NSW Seniors Festival, Wingecarribee Shire Council is excited to host an engaging exhibition of local senior artists’ works in the Civic Centre’s Atrium this month. We put a call out to local senior artists and craftspeople to showcase their talents and have gathered a diverse range of multimedia work that recognises the excellence that comes from years of artistic experience and practise.

The NSW Seniors Festival (11 – 24 March 2024) celebrates the role and contributions of older adults to our local communities. It is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, with over 500,000 people attending each year. This year the theme of the festival is Reach Beyond! (Seniors Festival 2024, Department of Communities and Justice, NSW Government, 2024)

The event launch will take place on 11 March 2024 from 2.00 pm - 3.30 pm open for anyone to attend.

 

It is possible to organise guided tours of the exhibition for small groups.

 

Visitors/general public are always welcome to take photographs within the space, no permissions required, however we encourage people to credit the artists if they are posting online.
