Casburn Park Opening

The wait is over! We're thrilled to announce the grand reopening of Casburn Park in Wingello – a vibrant new community space.

After the devastating 2020 bushfires, Casburn Park served as a central hub for our courageous volunteers and a critical gathering point for the community. Now, thanks to a $2.5 million grant from the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Package, this beloved park has been transformed!

The upgrade park is set to be a popular space in the Wingello community with:

  • Improved accessibility and parking
  • 2 new playgrounds
  • Pump track
  • Toilet amenities
  • Deck
  • Village green and village plaza
  • Shared paths
  • Picnic and BBQ facilities

This is more than just a park upgrade – it's a symbol of Wingello's resilience and a place for the community to come together, play, and heal.

The event will include:

  • BBQ run by Bundanoon Lions Club
  • Live music with Guitarist Nic Lee
  • Face Painting by White Waratah Face Painting
  • Wingello RFS will be there with Fire Trucks and Brigade outside the Fire shed - handing out fire hats and lolly bags
  • Velo Solutions and Jaiden McCarthur (BMX and MTB pro rider) will be available for questions about bike safety.

Catering and entertainment will commence after the official opening ceremony.

Come along and join us for the grand reopening celebrations!
