Kaleidoscope Festival 2024
Kaleidoscope Festival, as part of the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program led by Transport for NSW will be a one day festival in the heart of Mittagong.

Festival Entertainment Program
Attendees can look forward to a carefully curated line-up of performances including choirs, dance groups, and cultural showcases on the stage and roaming the crowd. Featured acts include:
- 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Serendipity the Choir
- 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM: Indian Drumming Band
- 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Vocal Muster & Richard Lane
- 1:30 PM – 1:45 PM & 2:15 PM – 2:30 PM: Song Weavers
- 1:40 PM – 2:10 PM: Spanish Flamenco Dancing
- 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Zumba with Stacey
- 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Bonnie Contemporary Dance Group
- 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Southern Highland Irish Dance
- 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Samba Ninja
- 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Southern Highlands Jazz
- 5:30 PM – 6:00 PM: Chinese & Vietnamese Lion and Dragon Dance
- 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Raising the Bar Choir with Darren Percival
With exciting performances like Stah from Zero Circus popping up in three 5-minute sets throughout the day, there will be plenty of surprises to enjoy.

Kaleidoscope Festival FAQs
Where is the event being held?
The Kaleidoscope Festival will take place in the Mittagong Precinct including laneways and streets from Princes Street to the intersection of the Old Hume Hwy (Main St) and Bowral Road.
The event will take place in Regent Lane carpark and a portion of Princes Street, and Ward Lane and the southbound lane of Bowral Road.
See below for the pedestrian entry points to the event.
How can I get there?
Street parking will be on Regent St, Railway Parade on the other side of the railway line (you can cross safely at the overhead bridge) and on the Old Hume Highway.
You'll find disabled parking in the Mittagong Playhouse carpark. Please see the map below for suggested locations of event parking
If you're a Mittagong local, we’d recommend you walk.
Event Parking Restrictions
No Public Parking for Event will be possible between Princes St and Ward Lane for duration of the event.
The Mitre 10 car park is accessible via Princes St and is reserved for Mitre 10 customers only and is not available for event attendees. Traffic management staff will be present to guide visitors and manage the pedestrian flow.
Road Closures and Traffic Management
Several streets in Mittagong will be temporarily closed on Saturday, 16 November from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Bowral Road’s westbound lane between Hume Highway and Bessemer Street, Princes Street between Bowral Road and Regent Lane, Regent Lane Car Park, Ward Lane, and the internal car park between Bowral Road and Old Hume Highway. The Regent Lane Car Park will be closed from Friday, 15 November at 6:00 PM.
The Mitre 10 car park is accessible via Princes St and is reserved for Mitre 10 customers only and is not available for event attendees. Traffic management staff will be present to guide visitors and manage the pedestrian flow.
Detours
The light vehicle detour between Old Hume Highway and Bowral Road will take place via
Bessemer Street, which is located to the south-west of the closure location. Light vehicles will be detoured along Bessemer St, which has traffic signals at the intersections with Old Hume Hwy and Bowral Rd and Fitzroy St. This will assist with the flow of diverted traffic.
Heavy vehicles will be detoured via Old Bowral Rd and Cavendish St, which are local council roads capable of carrying B Doubles and other heavy vehicles.

Yes, there will be porta-loos onsite.
