Movie Screening - Darkswell - A Bushfire Recovery Journey

DARKswell is an audio-visual performance by Julie Vulcan documenting the life swelling after the Green Wattle Creek and Dunns Road fires swept through the properties of three different landholders in 2019/2020.  Edited from hundreds of still photographs and recorded interviews, a series of stop motion films tell the story of human, plant and wildlife recovery. Weaving Julie’s personal account with the landholders it offers an insight into love, patience, care and what it means to be home.
