We need your help in creating a community-owned disaster preparedness plan for Balmoral Village as part of the Resilient Towns Initiative (RTI). RTI is a project that addresses local disaster preparedness and mitigation, in association with the University of NSW (UNSW), NSW Reconstruction Authority and Wingecarribee Shire Council.

The local preparedness plan will help enhance the capacities, resources, and networks of Balmoral Village to cope with and recover from disasters.

The local preparedness plan is developed using the Australian Red Cross’ RediPlan and will help enhance the capacities, resources, and networks of Balmoral Village to cope with and recover from disasters.

The Resilient Towns Initiative workshop will discuss:-

  • What is important to your community? What support does your community need?
  • Developing a Preparedness Plan for Balmoral Village using the Red Cross RediPlan
  • Developing community responsible actions through the use of internal and external resources needed to implement the preparedness plan and support the community's effort to be self-reliant

All Balmoral Village residents are encouraged to attend.

Food will be provided.
