Want to know where your water goes? Why is it important that we consider what we flush, or what goes into our stormwater drains? Come along to find out the answers to these questions and more.
Water usage is often not considered in our everyday life, but water conscious behaviour is a learnt behaviour, and more importantly a behaviour that we need to be better at. Water efficiency is largely about improved water usage behaviours and considering the impacts of what goes down our drains is a large part of this.
We are moving towards some periods of drought, the last drought likely feels like a distant memory, especially after the floods we have experienced recently. Changes in water usage behaviour is even more important for us, when looking ahead. The importance of educating our community about water impacts and the energy requirements of the treatment processes cannot be overstated. By raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices, we can ensure the long-term availability of clean and safe water for future generations.
