Use this form to apply for a Building Information Certificate (BIC) under Section 6.23 Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
Often a BIC is requested when work is undertaken without the appropriate approvals being issued. This could mean that either a structure was not approved that should have been or that it was approved but did not have all or some of the critical inspections completed.
As part of your application you will be required to submit the following:
- An original or certified copy of an identification survey if it is related to residential zoned land. For land situated in other zones you may be required to provide a survey report. The survey report and plan must represent the property and buildings as existing at the time of lodging the application.
- Additional information or approvals may also be requested before the BIC is issued to allow Council to assess the application (including; development application / consent for the use of the building, building plans, specifications and compliance certificates).
